Abraham Harold Maslow (/ ˈ m æ z l oʊ /; April 1, 1908 – June 8, 1970) was an American psychologist who created Maslow's hierarchy of needs, a theory of psychological health predicated on fulfilling innate human needs in priority, culminating in self-actualization. For the last five years, he has been working with youth social service agencies in Medford and Eugene. He is happy to be back in Southern Oregon now, contributing to the community he grew up in and serving as a Maslow Project Program Supervisor and Case Manager.
